ARCH GALLERY is honored to announce that it will present the group exhibition 「Perceptual Track」 on October 20, 2023, showcasing the works of artists Haiqiang Guo, Hang Su,  Sibo Wu, and Wei Zhou. This is not a wilderness. We wonder whether individuals obtain unity consciousness or live in a hypnotic state. The feelings that pulled by the environment hard to be a holistic perception. Several paths have been balanced the different proportions of reality and fiction in artistic fiction, and bursting out new perceptions.

Individuals limited a finite world and acquires finite knowledge by perceiving specific objects. Everyone inspired by works itself, which can be diverged into a comprehensive system. As a guided track, with energy to perceive the world, and an explicit body emerges in the work. It is a new perspective of perception that provides us with another experiential idea.

The trajectories of different ideas construct worlds with different language systems, and coexist in parallel lines. The beings get themselves out from the complex entanglement, with the overall concept of time and space.

Establishing a new connections in space, where indescribable boundaries are dissipated, separated, and practiced in a specific form of visibility, comes with a certain sense of community that formed by the space.

Reshape new perception, now.

Installation view:

The concept of this group exhibition starts from the artist’s creative path. Each artist combines own consciousness understanding with art to explain the condensation of self-expression and life path. We personally extract feelings and experiences from life, and consciousness drives us forward, but how can the feelings affected by an independent individual in a one-sided environment be perceived as a whole? These four artists have taken four different paths, expressing themselves along the lines of oneness and perception, and giving viewers new perceptual abilities between the authenticity and fiction of their artworks.

We grow up in a torrent, extract limited information in this chaotic world, perceive specific things and gain limited knowledge. Everyone has expanded from individual feelings to a specific system, and is the master of own trajectory. Thanks to these artists for providing us with different perception trajectories. It provides us with another way to experience the world. We are in space, with new perceptions, to reshape it.

ARCH INTERVIEW | Guo Yujian

Since then, I have tried to let daydream-like imagination seep into the picture, and those earlier, more symbolic images have also been naturally diluted. Perhaps, it is precisely because of the temperament that seems to be infiltrated by the picture and some image contents that are contrary to reality that cause the association like a dream.

ARCH REVIEW | Guo Yujian :Dangerous Complicitiy

When looking at Guo Yujian’s works, what have been depicted is always in a state of flow, and the secret words that are related to each other become images that avoid us and approach us. The work that takes shape on the canvas in our sight is yet to come, in transition, about to embrace change, and it will not push us away until the feeling is fulfil.

ARCH REVIEW | Gaze in the Dim Glow

“The Task of Alchemy”, Pocono Zhao Yu’s solo exhibition at Arch Gallery, presents a subtle sense of time traveling. As the title of the exhibition alludes to, it is as if the smelting and mysterious deeds of some spiritual objects. Within the whisper that fluttering outside of time, this enormous task is under the invisible dome of time.

ARCH REVIEW |
